Zion Escape Tours is a small, locally based tour company in Cape Town, built around private and small-group experiences across the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands, and the wider Western Cape.
We don’t run big bus tours. Every itinerary is planned around the traveler in front of us – what you want to see, how much time you have, and what kind of day you’re after.
A Passion for Sharing Cape Town
Zion Escape Tours was founded in 2017 by Armando Ilunga, a Cape Town local who spent years guiding visitors before deciding to build a tour company around the way he believed Cape Town should be shown – unrushed, personal, and led by people who actually live here.
Cape Town is not only one of the most beautiful cities in the world, it is also a destination rich in history, culture, and natural diversity. Armando’s goal has always been to help travelers experience these places through local knowledge and thoughtful planning, so each tour reveals both the famous highlights and the hidden details that make Cape Town unique.
Today, Armando still leads many tours himself and trains every guide on our small team the same way he learned: patience, genuine local knowledge, and treating every guest like a friend visiting for the first time.
